YouTuber Dhruv Rathee, often seen as a strong critic of the Modi government, has stepped into a new role. On August 18, he announced the launch of his first business venture — AI Fiesta. The move marks a shift for Rathee, who has so far been better known for his political commentary.
Why AI Fiesta?
In a 17-minute video shared on his YouTube channel, Rathee explained the idea behind the platform. He said it wasn’t born out of a typical billion-dollar dream, but from the hurdles he faced while using AI tools in his daily life.
He pointed out the current trend: ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Grok — all names that have become synonymous with the AI boom. These tools, according to him, are reshaping everything from education to jobs. But Rathee argued that the high costs of premium versions keep many people out of the so-called “AI revolution.”
For instance, Rathee highlighted that Grok 4’s subscription costs $30 a month — more than ₹2,500 — while ChatGPT Plus is priced at $20. “If you want the real power of these tools, you need to pay for the premium versions. Free ones often fall short or give non-factual answers,” he said.
What the platform offers
AI Fiesta, as described in the video and on its official website, claims to bring together all major AI models — from ChatGPT 5 and Gemini 2.5 Pro to Claude Sonnet 4 and Grok 4 — under a single subscription. The website pitches the service at $12 a month, nearly half the cost of one premium AI chat tool.
According to Rathee, subscribers will be able to compare responses by interacting with multiple models simultaneously. The package also promises extras like a free “Ultimate Prompt Book” said to be worth ₹5,000, access to a community, and webinars for annual subscribers.
It’s early days, and how AI Fiesta will fare remains to be seen. The concept — bundling different AI models into one platform — is certainly a response to frustrations many users share. But whether this move takes Rathee from YouTube critic to successful entrepreneur is something only time will reveal.
